一位地區總監希望增加社員

A district governor wants to increase membership.

目標:在我的總監任期結束以前, 增加10%的地區總社員人數.

Goal: Increase net district membership 10 percent by the end of my year as governor.

為達成這個目標可能有的主要障礙/策略:

The primary obstacles/strategies to achieving this goal might include:

障礙:社會大眾對扶輪有錯誤的觀念。

Obstacle: The public has misconceptions of Rotary.

策略:動員地區的全體力量來改正社會大眾對扶輪的錯誤觀念,教育社會大眾扶輪社做些什麼,同時研擬一個特別的公共關係策略來改善情況。

Strategy: Make a district-wide effort to correct public misconceptions about Rotary, educate people regarding what Rotary does, and develop a specific public relations strategy.

障礙:現有的社員不知道該如何推薦新社員.

Obstacle: Current members do not know how to propose new members.

策略:鼓動地區全體的力量來教導扶輪社員如何推薦新社員,建議扶輪社發起一個推薦新社員的計劃,同時建議全體社員閱讀國際扶輪網站(www.rotary.org)上的〝社員教育策略 (僅限網路版)

Strategy: Stimulate a district-wide effort to teach Rotarians how to propose a new member, suggest a club program on proposing new members, and recommend that all members read Strategies for Member Education (Web only) found on RI’s Web site (www.rotary.org).

障礙:社員們沒有足夠的知識來有效的推廣扶輪。

Obstacle: Members are not knowledgeable enough to promote Rotary effectively.

策略:增加社員們的扶輪知識,練習如何回答公共關係的問題,以及提供扶輪現況表單給扶輪社領導人使用。

Strategy: Improve Rotary knowledge among members, practice answering public relations questions, and provide Rotary fact sheets to club leaders.

障礙:流失了一批新加入扶輪社的社員。

Obstacle: There has been a loss of members who recently joined Rotary.

策略:讓新社員參與服務計劃,並指派他們擔任委員會的工作以保持他們對扶輪社的興趣。

Strategy: Involve new club members in service projects and appoint them to committees to sustain their interest in Rotary.
