To train club-level participants so that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to help clubs sustain and/or expand their membership base

The following objectives are recommended for inclusion in the training session:

• Discussion of RI’s membership goals and/or the RI President’s Membership Development Program (if applicable)

• Resources available to support membership development efforts/ activities

Two sample district membership seminar agendas are available for use by district membership seminar chairs or Rotarians who want to present a club-level program on membership development. The sample agenda that is appropriate for your district depends on the seminar participants.

The first sample agenda is intended to be the portion of the district assembly when club membership development committee members are grouped together. The second agenda is more appropriate if participation will be open to club leadership, club membership development committee members, and others deemed appropriate by the governor, and is intended to be held as an independent meeting, separate from other district events.
