Christianson
first served as a Rotary Volunteer with an international team of 20 §J²z´µ¤B»¹¤]¦b1993¦~²v»â5580¦a°Ïªº¹ÎÅé¬ã¨s¥æ´«¹Î¨ì¤¤°ê³X°Ý。¦¹¥~¡A¥L§ó¤C¦¸¦Û±Ç¸y¥]¦^¨ì¯µ¾|¥h¡AÀ°§U°õ¦æ¿³«Ø¾Ç®Õ、¤p«¬¥N¶U´Ú、°Êª«¯bªª、¥H¤Î¥ø·~ºÞ²zµ¥pµe。³Ìªñ¡A¥L»â¾É¤F¤@Ó°t¦X¼ú§Uª÷ÃÙ§Uªº¬¡°Ê¡An½קQ°¨³Ì¤jªº©t¨à°|¤§¤@ Christianson also led a District 5580 Group Study Exchange team to China in 1993. In addition, he has returned to Peru seven times at his own expense, to work on school construction, microlending, animal husbandry, and small business management projects. Most recently, he has been leading a Matching Grant-sponsored effort to renovate one of Lima's largest orphanages. §J¨½´µ¤B»¹À°§U¥L¤Hªº¤ß¡A¥H¤Î¯à»¡9ºØ»y¨¥ªº¯à¤O¡A¨Ï±o¥L«Ü®e©ö©M¦UºØ¦~ÄÖ¤ÎI´ºªº¤H«Ø¥ßÃö«Y。¦bñÏõ|´ø¬y¡A¥L¨ó§Uªi¤h¥§¨È、©Ôº¿(Roma)、¥H¤Î¯Á°¨§Q¨ÈÃø¥Á¸Ñ¨M¦UºØ»Ý¨D¡A³o¶µªA°È«D±`«n¡A¦]¬°¦b³oÓªÀ°Ïùئ³25%ªº¤H¤f¦b®a¤£»¡^»y。 Christianson's heart for helping others and ability to speak nine languages enable him to connect easily with people of all ages and backgrounds. In Pelican Rapids, he assists Bosnian, Roma, and Somali refugees with a variety of needs - a vital service in a community where 25 percent of the population speaks a language other than English in the home. ¤°»ò¼Ëªº¦]¯À«P¨Ï³oÓ¸q¤u¦Ñ§L¤£°±¦aªA°È¥L¤H©O¡H What drives the veteran volunteer to ceaselessly serve others? §J²z´µ¤B»¹»¡¡G「¥un¤@¸õ¤UªA°Èªº¤ô¬y¡A§A´N·|¤£°±ªº´å¡F§A¨S¦³®É¶¡¥h·Q¬°¤°»òn¸õ¤U¥h。§Ú¦³¹L¾É®v¡A¦Ó¥BÁÙÄ~Äòµo²{·sªº¾É®v。¤j¦h¼Æ³£¤ñ§Ú¦~ªø¤@¥N。§Ú¸òµÛ¥LÌ´å¡A«Ü¤Öªá®É¶¡¦^ÅU¦b¤º¤ß¸Ì±¬O½Ö¦b´åªa。」 "After the initial plunge into the waters of service one just keeps swimming; one doesn't have time to think about why one jumped in," says Christianson. "I have had and continue to discover mentors. Most are one generation ahead of me. I swim in their wake, seldom taking time to look back to see who is swimming in mine." |
