扶輪基金會於75年前在1928年明尼亞波利國際年會正式成立。可是基金會的正式創立日期為1917年，當年國際扶輪社長克蘭夫(Arch Klumph)向亞特蘭大國際年會建議成立一個捐助基金「目的在行善於全世界」。

The Rotary Foundation was formally established 75 years ago at the 1928 Minneapolis convention. Its official founding date, however, was in 1917 when RI President Arch Klumph proposed to the Atlanta convention the creation of an endowment fund "for the purpose of doing good in the world."
