Yoshi Minamisono is the founder and special counselor of the Hofu Institute of Gastroenterology. He is a gastrointestinal surgeon and has been a member of the Japan Medical Association. Minamisono has been a member of the Rotary Club of Hofu since 1978. He has served RI as district governor, task force coordinator, RI training leader, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, Family of Rotary Task Force member, and adviser to the Permanent Fund Committee for Japan. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Benefactor, Major Donor, and Bequest Society member. Minamisono is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service.
