南園義一是日本山口縣防府市 腸胃病學研究所的創始人與特別顧問。他是一位腸胃外科醫生，同時也是日本醫師協會的會員。南園於1978年加入防府扶輪社。在國際扶輪任理事、特別委員會協調人、國際扶輪訓練師、扶輪基金會地域協調人、扶輪家庭委員會委員、扶輪永久基金會日本委員會的顧問。他是扶輪基金會的保羅哈里斯獎章多次獲得者，永久基金捐獻人，巨額捐獻人，以及遺產協會的會員。南園也是扶輪基金會有功服務獎的得獎人。

Yoshi Minamisono is the founder and special counselor of the Hofu Institute of Gastroenterology. He is a gastrointestinal surgeon and has been a member of the Japan Medical Association. Minamisono has been a member of the Rotary Club of Hofu since 1978. He has served RI as district governor, task force coordinator, RI training leader, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, Family of Rotary Task Force member, and adviser to the Permanent Fund Committee for Japan. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Benefactor, Major Donor, and Bequest Society member. Minamisono is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service.
