Edgar Allen was the President and founder of the International Society for Crippled Children and Paul Harris served as the Chairman of its first Board of Directors.

Warrington's goal is to enrich the lives of the high school students who travel with her by facilitating international service projects while empowering communities in the Dominican Republic. Local Rotaractors help by investigating the needs of their community and distributing resources. They also bridge the gap between the high school students and the Rotarians, leading by example and mentoring the future generations of Rotary.

Hildreth is the water projects chair for District 4060 and has facilitated the installation of 19,000 bio-sand water filters in homes, schools, and clinics, inspiring Rotarians all over the world to contribute to sustainable projects promoting clean water and sanitation.  These projects have been funded by Rotary Foundation Matching Grants and more than 200 clubs in Canada, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and other Caribbean countries.

Yokira, 9, and Wanda, 8, have a bio-sand filter in their home.  About 19,000 bio-sand filters have been installed in homes, schools, and clinics in the Dominican Republic, and Rotarians all over the world have contributed to projects promoting community education about clean water and sanitation. These projects have been funded by Rotary Foundation Matching Grants and more than 200 clubs in Canada, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and other Caribbean countries.
