When it comes to making friends, Rotarians tend to be very international. Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) continues to be a popular way for Rotarians to make person-to-person contact between Rotary countries, forging lifelong friendships. 

一群來自第6400地區(美國密西根州)的團體在前往第9930地區(紐西蘭)、第9820地區(澳洲維多利亞省一部份)、第9650地區(澳洲新南威爾斯省一部份)的3星期交換活動中，親身享受到這種國際聯誼。由密西根州里翁尼亞(Livonia)扶輪社的康麥隆(Bill Cameron)所率領的20位扶輪社員及配偶，一路上行程緊湊，忙著出席扶輪會議、參觀扶輪計劃、到紐西蘭雨林及澳洲內陸旅遊，總計走過6個城市。

A group from District 6400 (Michigan, USA) enjoyed that international fellowship firsthand on a three-week exchange to District 9930 (New Zealand) and Australian districts 9820 (part of Victoria) and 9650 (part of New South Wales). Twenty Rotarians and spouses, led by Bill Cameron of the Rotary Club of Livonia, Michigan, maintained a busy schedule of Rotary meetings, visits to Rotary projects, and tours of rain forests in New Zealand, the outback in Australia, and half a dozen cities. 

康麥隆說：「扶輪社員敞開他們家與他們的心。對我們許多人來說，這是一生難忘的經驗。

"Rotarians opened their homes and their hearts," Cameron says. "For many of us, this was an once-in-a-lifetime experience." 

第6400地區在2002年10月也接待3對回訪的紐西蘭夫婦及1對澳洲夫婦，重續在南半球締結的情誼。除了密西根州之外，他們還到加拿大及國際扶輪世界總部。

District 6400 hosted a reciprocal visit by three New Zealand couples and an Australian couple in October 2002, which rekindled friendships made down under. Besides Michigan, the group visited Canada and the RI World Headquarters.

第9930地區扶輪友誼交換主委賽威爾(David Sewell)說：「扶輪是全世界最偉大的人脈網路組織，所以我呼籲各地的地區、扶輪社、與扶輪社員也展開行動。接待客人就跟旅遊一報收穫良多。」

"Rotary is the greatest networking organization in the world, so I urge districts, clubs, and Rotarians around the world to get active," says David Sewell, RFE chairman for District 9930. "Hosting is just as rewarding as traveling."
