在我們的世界努力為緊張局勢尋找和平解決方案之際，扶輪社員則是以培養國際親善，來「播撒愛心的種子」。2月是「世界瞭解月」，正是重新將焦點放在以愛心回應仇恨、以希望面對恐懼、以合作消弭猜疑之國際計劃的時候。

As our world struggles to find peaceful solutions to global tensions, Rotarians Sow the Seeds of Love by nurturing international goodwill. February is World Understanding Month, a time to sharpen our focus on our international programs that answer hate with love, fear with hope, and distrust with cooperation. 

我們最近的一項行動─扶輪和平及解決衝突研究國際中心，真正落實了扶輪社員數十年來的夢想。畢竟扶輪是誕生在一個由戰爭左右大局的世紀。扶輪社員明白這個世界確切需要的東西：更多仲裁、外交、解決衝突的專業人才。因此我們成立這些扶輪中心來確保在未來的世代裡，我們將給予這個世界有效的和平工具─深知扶輪理想與如何締造和平的人才。

One of our most recent efforts, the Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution, is actually the realization of a dream held by Rotarians for decades. Rotary, after all, was born into a century defined by wars. Throughout the last century, Rotarians understood exactly what was needed: more people skilled in mediation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution. So we created the Rotary Centers to ensure that for generations to come, we can give the world effective instruments of peace, individuals educated in the ideals of Rotary and in peacemaking. 

扶輪中心使我們豐富多樣的教育及人道計劃，又增添了一項重要的計劃。根除小兒痲痺等疾病計劃、配合獎助金、大使獎學金及團體研究交換等計劃，不僅可以促進世界瞭解，還可幫助扶輪社員與其他國家的人建立關係。在這個動盪不安的世界中，我們的國際服務賦予我們一個罕有、寶貴的東西─展現寬容的機會。

The Rotary Centers are an important addition to our rich variety of educational and humanitarian programs. Programs such as PolioPlus, Matching Grants, Ambassadorial Scholarships, and Group Study Exchange not only foster world understanding, but also help Rotarians develop relationships with people from other countries. Our international service gives us something rare and precious in our troubled world - opportunities to practice tolerance. 

扶輪最棒的禮物之一，便是與不同宗教或文化的人分享友誼及服務的機會。當我們跨越國界推動國際服務計劃，便在向世人證明如果我們敞開心胸傾聽彼此，很多事都是可能的。我們把陌生人轉變為朋友。一個充滿朋友的世界，乃是一個充滿愛的世界。

One of Rotary's greatest gifts is this chance to share fellowship and service with people of different religions or cultures. When we collaborate across borders on international service projects, we show the world what is possible if people will only listen to each other with open hearts and open minds. We turn strangers into friends. And a world filled with friends is a world filled with love.
