J. Wilkinson以及美麗的夫人，能邀請您到臺灣是我們無上的榮幸，本人和拙荊對於在聖地牙哥受訓時，您的溫文儒雅和您散發出的智慧讓我留下深刻的印象，在此期間我們從您那裡得到了最珍貴的友誼，我們夫婦二人也期盼我們的摯友有一天能來此看看老朋友，此時此刻因著您到訪給予我們無限的歡喜，在孔夫子的論語一書中提到「有朋自遠方來，不亦樂乎？」今晚，我們齊聚一堂，感受此一相同的情懷，我在此要表達本人十二萬分的歡迎之意。 |

RI President-elect, Mr. Wilfrid J.Wilkinson and your fair lady, it's
our pleasure to welcome you. During our stay in San Diego, Lynette and
I are deeply impressed by your well-rounded personality and your great
wisdom. We've established solid friendship ever since, and both of us
look forward to next gatherings wholeheartedly. It's time for rejoice
because of your arriving. There is an old saying, “What a delight is a
friend from afar,” quoted from “The Analects of Confucius.” Tonight,
while we are gathering here, sharing the joy of reunion, I'd love to
extend to you my warmest welcome. |

District 3520 consists of 80 Rotary clubs which are further divided
into 14 sub-districts. All Rotarians of our district excitedly greet
you and embrace you with open arms. All of us believe “Virtue is its
own reward.” Therefore we really follow William B. Boyd's step—lead
the way to the world peace, lead the way to human beings benefits and
lead the way to our bright future. In his Utopia, it is love that
makes the world go round. We should firmly go after what we believe
and never succumb no matter how difficult it is. We truly believe if a
thing is worth doing it is worth doing well. |
