James Lacy is chairman of the board of Sophie Mae Candy Co., a national confection manufacturer. Long active in government service, Mr. Lacy served on the Chamber of Commerce and the Putnam County local governmental body. He also served two terms as a state representative in the Tennessee General Assembly. In his spare time, he managed and coached in Cookeville's Little League baseball program for 17 years. A Rotarian since 1964, he is a member and past president of the Cookeville Rotary Club. He has served Rotary International as a district governor, committee member and chairman, delegate to the Council on Legislation, International Assembly instructor, moderator, Foundation trustee, director, vice-president and president.
