皮康尼現在擁有管理賓夕凡尼亞州西南部一家財產租賃公司。他是當地停車管理單位前會長及委員。他曾任許多民間組織，包括大布瑞基維爾商會及大匹茲堡愛盲協會的理事。他曾被夏帝爾谷人際關係委員會提名為年度最佳男士，並曾因為社區與事業成就而獲頒亞伯蓋勒丁獎。

皮康尼自1967年加入扶輪成為扶輪社員，曾任扶輪基金會的地域協調人、根除小兒痲痺等疾病夥伴北美區協調人、永久基金領袖團隊委員。他曾獲扶輪基金會的特優服務獎及有功服務獎與國際扶輪的超我服務獎。

        Louis Piconi develops and owns commercial properties in southwest Pennsylvania.  As the then-president of the local parking authority, Mr. Piconi developed self-sufficient parking lots for the Bridgeville area.  He has served on the boards of numerous civic organizations, including the Greater Bridgeville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Pittsburgh Guild for the Blind.  He was named "Man of the Year" by the Chartiers Valley Commission on Human Relations and has received the Albert Gallatin Award for community and business achievement.

        A Rotarian since 1976, Lou continues to have fun serving in his Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair.  Lou has served Rotary as district governor, on a number of international committees, and in numerous leadership positions for Rotary and The Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Foundation has recognized Lou with the Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award.  Rotary has recognized Lou with the International Service Award for a Polio Free World and Rotary's highest honor, the "Service Above Self" award.  Lou’s Rotary Club named him “Rotarian of the Year” in 1997-98, an honor he values greatly.

        In addition to serving his Rotary Club, Mr. Piconi currently serves as Chairman for the Polio Eradication Fundraising Campaign Committee North America (Bermuda, Canada, Caribbean Islands, Mexico and the United States); the PolioPlus Partners Committee; the Nominating Committee for President 2006-07, and Rotary International’s Strategic Planning Committee.
