Good afternoon午安、 謝謝:

What a beautiful way to kick-off our Celebration!     I hope you enjoy our Opening Ceremony.

Once again, I want to extend my warmest welcome to all of you for coming to this Conference, especially those who have traveled all the way from neighboring and far away countries.     Up to now we have 1,000 registrations from 21 countries.     Your full attendance and participation will be critical to making this Conference a great success

During Rotary’s centennial year, which is an important milestone for our organization, we are very lucky to be chosen as one of the seven countries to host the Rotary International Presidential Celebrations.     It’s a great honor for us and we feel strongly encouraged.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank President Glenn for choosing Taipei for this year’s last but the most important Conference to celebrate Rotary, and to celebrate our organization’s important miles stone.

Today, we come together from different cultural background to celebrate the 100th birthday of this organization that has brought us together.     Let’s cherish this opportunity and work together to make greater contributions to promoting international understanding and world peace in the new Rotary century.

As you all know, even though the conference is held in Taipei, it has the full support from all the 17,000 Rotarians from 488 Clubs and 7 Districts in Taiwan.     Their message to you is:     Welcome to TaiwanWe hope you have a good time here. We love you all.

台灣的扶輪社友們,若同意我的看法,

讓我們用二次愛的鼓勵來歡迎國外社友們,好嗎?

I want to thank all members of the Organizing Committee, especially Conference Secretary PDG Jackson for their hard work during the pass 10 months.     I hope you all agreed they deserve your big round of applause.

Fellow Rotarians, during the next two days, please make yourself at home, because you are members of our Rotary family

Thank you    謝謝   韓、印、菲、日、泰、蒙古 ,感謝
