The
celebration of the 100th Aniversity of Rotary International and
the centennial projects has changed the direction and future of rotary
interaction forever.
I would like
to focus on the events in the state of Arizona USA.
Arizona
became a state in 1914 and as a state is 91 years old – younger than
Rotary.
There are
three [3] Rotary district in Arizona and approximately 5,000 Rotarians.
The three [3]
district governors agreed to work together in promoting the 100th
Aniversity of Rotary.
During the
week of February 23, 2005 Rotary was celebrated through out the state of
Arizona and Through out the World.
Nothing like
this has ever happened in Rotary. Rotary united through celebrating its
successes and taking action to establish and promote Rotary’s future.
