(2003 Singapore Institute)
Dear Fellow Rotarians and Guests:
The 2003 RI Zone Institute (Zones 4b, 6b & 7b) was held in Singapore during Nov. 7th – 9th with great success. We are so inspired by the presence of RIPE Glenn E. Estess, RIPP Richard D. King and RIPP Bhichai Rattakul, Director Sakuji Tanaka and John G. Thorne, Director-elect Yoshikazu Minamisono and Joc-Joc Bolante, and RIPD Paing Hechanova, and Foundation Chairman’s Representative RIPD Kalyan Banerjee, and all the RI officers with their families. We have the honor of welcoming so many of our distinguished Rotary leaders from overseas to be at Singapore Institute.
RI Zone Institute provides an excellent opportunity for incoming, current and past RI officers to come together and identify the challenges that Rotary is facing. This is indeed a wonderful occasion to renew old and make new acquaintances, to exchange idea with members of Rotary leadership, and of course to show “Lend a Hand”. There is no doubt that you must enrich yourselves in the work of Rotary.
As Convenor of this Institute, I would like to extend my most sincere appreciation to all those participants at this Institute, and those RI officers for their active deliberation and positive contributions. And my special thanks go to all the members of the Organizing Committee under the outstanding leadership of Chairman PDG Fong Hoe Beng.
Together, we have made this 2003 Rotary Zone 4b, 6b and 7b Institute another successful and memorable one. Thank you and I am looking forward to work with all of you in any other Rotary assignment.
